Muffin’s Story: How It All Started

Hello Every Puggy,

I hope you are all well. I would like to tell you my story.

I am MuffinPug. I am living the life of a beautiful princess now, but this was not always the case. In 2015, I was very cruelly treated and used as bait for dog fighting. Suddenly, I was at the vets in an extremely bad way and about to cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. Everybody was crying, but a kind and wonderful lady was asked by the vet if she could help a dear little dog that had been used as bait. Well, without even seeing me, she said, ‘Yes!’

Then they saw me and there were more and more tears – they promised to help me forever. I was ill for a very long time and each time I thought that I would be crossing the Rainbow Bridge they made sure I stayed here and assured me that it was not my time to leave.

I became stronger and stronger, but sadly my back leg was too badly damaged to save. I am MuffinPug and I am a bait-dog survivor. Being a tri-paw has not stopped me, I assure you, and I don’t let anything stop me from living the very best life! They love me beyond words.

I discovered I had a new mission – what if I saved other little souls who needed help like me, Pugs who have no-one else? There are so many who need my help. I welcome each and every one of those little Pugs (and others Not Quite Pug) into rescue and I reassure them that a new and wonderful life will be theirs.

Over the last six years MuffinPug Rescue has saved hundreds of Pugs here in the UK and overseas too. One of my dear friends was Dodger, here we are together in the pushchair; he needed my special help and up until his journey over the bridge, he lived his very best life. I luffed him so much.

Of course, I have so many lovely helpers, my wonderful FairyPug Mothers and Fathers, a network of amazing hoomans who help me to rescue those in need and who have no voice.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who helps me in my mission, for the donations towards our care and treatment, to those who have liked my page and shared my stories and for those kind thoughts and prayers when I or my friends are in pain or are unwell.

Thank you for reading my story. My name is MuffinPug and I am a SURVIVOR!

Luffs and Licks,

Muffin x
